On March 31, 2010 the U.S. Supreme Court decided (from the syllabus):

Because counsel must inform a client whether his plea carries a risk of deportation, Padilla has sufficiently alleged that his counsel was constitutionally deficient. Whether he is entitled to relief depends on whether he has been prejudiced, a matter not addressed here.

This decision requires defense counsel undertake a complicated analysis with many considerations.  Mr. Feldman is available to support non-citizens and their criminal defense counsel in properly analyzing criminal charges.  Over many years Mr. Feldman has developed a comprehensive methodology designed to fully analyze the immigration consequences of criminal convictions.
